Olaoye Muibat Adesewa Child Care Foundation (OMACCF) celebrated its One-Year Anniversary on October 1st, 2025, at the Ministry of Education, District II, Maryland, Lagos State. The milestone event brought together representatives from 20 schools under District II, with each school represented by five students and one counselor, teacher, or principal. This impressive turnout reflected OMACCF’s growing influence and its unwavering dedication to promoting child welfare and education.
The anniversary celebration was not only a moment of gratitude and reflection but also an educational and empowerment-driven program. It was specifically designed to equip students, parents, teachers, and guardians with vital knowledge on child health, hygiene, and basic first aid practices, ensuring they are capable of responding effectively in emergencies and fostering healthier, safer environments for children.
A major highlight of the event was the participation of notable partners and resource persons, including Mrs. Beatrice Makinde, Director of LASAMBUS, who delivered an insightful address on child health and safety. In addition, representatives from Emergency Response Africa facilitated a comprehensive First Aid Sensitization and Awareness Session, during which attendees were taught practical steps for managing medical emergencies involving children. Furthermore, the Head of Department, Guidance and Counseling, and her office played a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating the entire program, ensuring its smooth and successful execution.
Through these impactful contributions and the active participation of students, teachers, and parents, the OMACCF One-Year Anniversary event successfully reaffirmed the Foundation’s mission to nurture, educate, and safeguard the next generation through awareness, compassion, and community action.
